(Ministry of Culture and Information, 1 July 2015 – 1 December 2015)

Project “Kovčežić” (Treasure chest) is dedicated to the enrichment of offer of short audio stories in minority languages, as well as to the encouraging multiculturalism in Vojvodina. In addition to fostering positive values, creativity and standard language, audio format allows creators of literature for children to add a special value to their stories, by reviving them in the new media format. These audio storieswill also be available to the blind and visually impaired children.

During the five months of the project, Novi Sad School of Journalism will create audio stories in Roma, Hungarian, Romanian, Ruthenian and Slovak language. All stories will be illustrated, translated into Serbian language and posted on the NSSJ web site. Download option will allow parents and children to store fairytales on their computers, mobile phones or tablets.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
